Delicious
We love this batch of Chardonnay. Try it as see why we give it our gold seal!

"Soak in the vistas of off our outdoor patio nestled and overlooking our vineyards sipping this delicious favourite."

Tasting Notes:

Chardonnay aged in oak barrels undergoes an aging process that gives distinctive qualities to the wine. The interaction between the wine and the oak contributes significantly to both its flavor profile and structure. Notably, the oak influence introduces flavors such as vanilla, attributed to the presence of vanillin in oak, along with toasty or nutty expressions from toasted oak. This aging process enhances the body of the Chardonnay, resulting in a fuller and more rounded mouthfeel, often accompanied by a creamy texture when aged. The fruit characteristics of Chardonnay, including citrus and orchard fruits, are complemented by subtle oak notes. Balancing acidity is achieved through the oak aging, contributing to a well-balanced wine. Despite the oak treatment, quality Chardonnay maintains a reflection of its terroir, showcasing the unique characteristics of the vineyard. Additionally, the versatility of oak-aged Chardonnay in food pairings is notable, with its ability to complement dishes such as those with creamy sauces, poultry, and seafood. Achieving a delicate balance between oak influence and the preservation of varietal and terroir characteristics is key in crafting high-quality oak-aged Chardonnay.

Food Pairings:

Chardonnay can pair with almost anything. From shellfish, to creamy sauces, and even white meats like pork and chicken, Chardonnay is very versatile and an excellent choice at the dinner table. Chardonnay works well with creamier dishes, but also pairs well with seafood. Try oysters, sushi, sautéed fish, pâté, Chicken Piccata, vegetable risotto! The crispness, minerality, and delicate flavors crave crisp, delicate foods.
