Parm Dhaliwal- Owner/ Manager

Paula Cooper – Winemaker:

Paula grew up in Penticton where completed High School. After high school Paula went on to study Horticulture at Kwantlen College. She enjoyed working in various Horticulture related positions until returning to Penticton in early 2000’s. Looking to re-train for a different career, she happened upon the Winery Assistant Program at Okanagan College and being a hands-on based learner, felt that this could be a great option. Shortly, after completing the program joined the Cellar Team at Tinhorn Creek, working alongside Sandra Oldfield in 2004 and stayed on until 2013.

After working with both Arterra and Artus Bottling, Paula started as the Winemaker for Chris Jentsch and C.C. Jentsch Cellars in 2017. After the sale of the Winery, moved on to make wine for Lakeside Cellars in 2021.

2023 has been filled with new and exciting opportunities, having the privilege of working alongside both Pascal Madevon and Gina Fernandes Harfman.

Now in Paula’s 20th year in the wine industry she is joining the amazing team here at Oak and Sparrow Estate Winery and this has definitely been the highlight. There is always something new in the art of making wine, so when you can learn from each other, share ideas, and truly feel like part of a family, there is definitely nothing more rewarding than that.
